Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word or Latex, document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 10-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

The International Journal of Computer Engineering and Data Science (IJCEDS) publishes high-quality research papers, reviews, and technical notes in the fields of computer engineering, artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, and software systems.

Manuscript Format

Authors are strongly encouraged to prepare their manuscript using the official IJCEDS LaTeX class file (ijceds.cls), which ensures a consistent layout and professional appearance.

Submissions in Microsoft Word format may be accepted provisionally for review purposes. However, final acceptance will require the paper to be provided in LaTeX format using the ijceds.cls class.

Manuscript Structure

Each article must contain the following sections, in order:

  • Title

  • Abstract (150–250 words)

  • 3–6 Keywords

  • I. Introduction

  • II. Related Work

  • III. Methodology

  • IV. Results and Discussion

  • V. Conclusion and Future Work

  • References (IEEE style)

Figures, tables, and equations must be properly referenced in the text. All figures must be submitted in .pdf, .png, or .eps format.

Formatting Guidelines (LaTeX with ijceds.cls)

  • Font: Times New Roman (handled by class)

  • Paper size: A4

  • Margins: 1.7 cm (left/right), 1.5 cm (top), 2.5 cm (bottom)

  • Section numbering:

    • Sections: Roman numerals (I., II., III.)

    • Subsections: A., B., C.

    • Subsubsections: 1., 2., 3.

  • Section headings: First letter in 11pt, rest in 10pt (handled by the class)

Citation Style

IJCEDS follows the IEEE citation format. References should be numbered in the order they appear in the text and listed at the end of the manuscript. Example formats:

[1] J. Smith, “AI models in medicine,” IEEE Trans. Med. Imaging, vol. 39, no. 4, pp. 123–130, Apr. 2022.

[2] S. Russell, Artificial Intelligence: A Modern Approach, 4th ed., Pearson, 2020.

Submission

Submit your manuscript via the online platform in a ZIP archive containing:

  • the .tex source file

  • the ijceds.cls file

  • all figures (PDF/PNG/EPS)

By submitting a manuscript to the International Journal of Computer Engineering and Data Science (IJCEDS), the authors agree to the following terms:
